Whats coming in 2026
Here’s where we’re headed in 2026 with IMHA: we’re expanding opportunities for mustangs like never before. IMHA is opening the door for mustangs to participate in a wide variety of shows—any event with established standards and a rulebook can be approved. To ensure fair and consistent judging, officials must hold an active IMHA judge card and current certification, credentials, or a judge’s card in the discipline being judged. This structure allows mustangs to compete under recognized standards while earning IMHA points across more events nationwide.
Applications Now Open
IMHA Professional Members are now eligible to apply for designation as an IMHA Mustang Professional (MP). The MP Program recognizes experienced, ethical professionals who are actively working with mustangs and committed to upholding IMHA’s Code of Ethics and Animal Welfare standards.
If you’re ready to take a leadership role within the IMHA community and help set the standard for mustang horsemanship, applications are now open.

Hosting an IMHA Approved Event... Coming early 2026!
Host an IMHA Mustang Event or Clinic —IMHA Professional Members have the opportunity to host IMHA-approved Mustang events and clinics, helping expand meaningful opportunities for mustangs while educating riders, trainers, and the public. Approved hosts gain visibility within the IMHA network, the ability to award IMHA points where applicable, and the support of IMHA standards focused on fairness, professionalism, and horse welfare. Hosting an event or clinic is a great way to showcase your expertise, grow your program, and contribute to the long-term success of the American Mustang through the International Mustang Horse Association.
