About Us

Welcome to the International Mustang Horse Association (IMHA)!
We're just getting started in 2025, and you're here at the beginning. IMHA was created to support mustangs after adoption—giving them a place to be registered, recognized, and celebrated throughout their lives.
We’re building a new kind of organization: one that values ethical training, responsible ownership, and the lifelong success of mustangs and their people. Members can register horses, earn points, compete for awards, and connect with a growing community of mustang lovers.
Our very first event will be held at the Teens & Oregon Mustangs competition, August 30–September 1, 2025—and we’re excited to launch from there.
By joining now, you're helping shape the future of this organization. You’re getting in on the ground floor—and we’re glad to have you with us.
"International Mustang Horse Association: Supporting Mustangs Beyond Adoption."
Mission
The International Mustang Horse Association (IMHA) empowers mustang owners by providing resources, education, and community support to help their horses thrive beyond adoption. Our mission is to showcase the versatility of trained mustangs, create opportunities for owners to achieve their goals, and foster a strong network of enthusiasts dedicated to their success.
Vision
The International Mustang Horse Association (IMHA) is dedicated to supporting mustang owners beyond adoption, helping them unlock the full potential of their horses. We aim to provide resources, education, and a thriving community where owners and trainers can set and achieve meaningful goals. By spotlighting the versatility and uniqueness of trained mustangs, we create opportunities for enthusiasts to connect, learn, and celebrate their horses across various disciplines. Through collaboration and advocacy, we ensure that adopted mustangs have a path forward to a successful and fulfilling future.

Humane, empathetic, and kind actions that prioritize horse welfare. Education rooted in horsemanship. Meaningful relationships between horses and humans, as well as within the community. A culture of encouragement and support. Mustang and human growth and development beyond adoption.
